Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reports in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance regarding DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. This led to the state government imposing more stringent rules in these instances. Ms. O'Dell was awarded an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. Alongside her work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and in addition contributes to Dateline NBC. She's reported on major occasions like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards in addition to hosting the Pre ShowArrivals Programs during The Emmys.
